Pesticide Statistics:
Each year the U.S. Department of Agriculture tests a sample of foods for the presence of pesticides. This visualization illustrates the proportion of samples within each state that had pesticides present in 2008. It also allows the viewer to filter on commodity type and to study how the of the claim of pesticide presence from the distributor differs from reality.
